Meet Dr. Wyatt

Dr. Melva Wyatt has been a pediatric dentist for more than 25 years.

Dr. Wyatt obtained her DDS from the University of San Carlos, Guatemala in 1985. She became interested in treating children while working in her father's dental practice. Dr. Wyatt attended Louisiana State University, School of Dentistry, where she obtained her Pediatric Dentistry certificate and then completed a fellowship at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans from 1987 to 1990.

Since then Dr. Wyatt has been dedicated to treating children from infants to teenagers. Her passion is building great dental experiences for children, treating them with care and compassion. She also enjoys helping to educate parents in building their child’s happy little smiles. Her goal is to see her patients comfortably grow up with healthy smiles, until one day they become good adult patients.

As part of her pediatric dental experience, Dr. Wyatt also enjoys teaching and sharing with dental students. Dr. Wyatt has been a part time Assistant Professor in the Pediatric Dentistry Dept. at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry since 1993.

Dr. Melva Wyatt is married to her husband Mark and they have two daughters. Their family enjoys visiting Guatemala, going to the Sierra Mountains, and visiting National Parks.

Dr. Wyatt speaks Spanish and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Society.
